Minnesota Twins!

We took Cohen to his first Minnesota Twins game the other day. They played the Baltimore Orioles. The Twins lost 11-0, and it started pouring in the middle of the game! We waited to get our tickets so we could check the weather to decide which game we wanted to go. The day we went was suppose to be the nicest, but was unfortunately the worst! Oh well, Cohen did very well despite the Twins losing and the weather! :)

About to drive to the game!

Dad and Cohen (That is actually the Ravens stadium in the background) The Orioles stadium is on the other side of the parking lot.

Joe Mauer!

Intently watching the game

Finally cracking a smile!

Just about to leave...little guy got all tuckered out!

4 Months

OH MY GOODNESS....I AM 4 MONTHS OLD!!!!

Our little buddy is 4 months old today! Time is just flying by. I can't believe how much he has grown in changed in such a short time. We took him to his doctor's appointment today. He did really well, but he couldn't get his shots because the doctor thought that he may have an ear infection. She thought it would be best to wait a couple weeks.

Here is some information about him....
  • Height:: 26 inches
  • Weight: 15lbs.
  • He wears size 2 diapers (Pampers)
  • He wears mostly 3-6 month clothes, but also fits into some 0-3, 3 month and 6 month.
  • He can roll over from his tummy to his back and from his back to his tummy
  • His sleeping is sporadic at night. He sometimes will sleep through the night, but lately has been getting up at 2 or 3am  and plays for an hour. We are working on that now!
  • He usually take 2-3 short naps while at daycare, depending on when he gets up in the morning
  • He usually drinks 4 oz ever 3-4 hours, and is just now taking 6 oz in the evening
  • He has one tooth!
  • His hair is getting longer and his Mohawk is starting to curl over a bit!
  • He is smiley and has a happy, calm demeanor
  • He enjoys playing in his jumper
  • He has attended his first Minnesota Twins baseball game
  • He is an amazing, sweet and lovable little boy!

We love his big brownish greenish eyes!

Melts your heart..doesn't it?

He has learned how to turn all around in his crib. in this picture he has made a 180 degree turn and decided to prop his feet up on the crib bumper.

Happy 4 Months, Cohen Maddox! Mommy and Daddy love you so much!!!

Raspberry Noises and Saliva Bubbles

Each Week I get an email giving an update on what Cohen should be up to at his age. Well, todday I received one that said:

He is starting to make raspberry noises and saliva bubbles and also trying to mimic the sounds you make.

I read it and thought, "well, he isn't doing that yet," and didn't think too much more of it. We picked Cohen up from daycare and sure enough he started doing it! I was so shocked and told Dan that I had just read about that! Here is a video, (of course)!

Atlantic City

A couple of weekends ago we took Cohen to Atlantic City for the first time. It is a 3 and half hour drive  from our place. We went on a Sunday, stayed the night and drove back for work on Monday Morning. I'm proud to say that we made it to work by 8am! Cohen did really good in the car! We stopped about half way through on our drive there so he could eat and play for a little bit. Here are so pictures from our stop!

We made it!

Umm...Mom...Dad....where are you going to sleep?!

"I flirted with the ladies at the front desk so they upgraded our room to an ocean view. Here's me checkin' out the view" -Cohen

Wish it was warmer!

Ahh....life is good...............

We had a good time there. We didn't really do too much while we were there. It was too cold to walk on the boardwalk. We shopped at the outlet stores, went out for dinner and gambled a little. We can't wait to take him to the ocean again when it's wamer and he's a little bigger!

Rolling Over for Mommy!

I was so proud of Cohen this morning...he slept until 8:30! What I didn't realize was that Dan was up with him from 3 am until about 5:45! Anwyay, as Cohen and I were playing this morning he decided to show Mommy how he can roll over! I was so excited! I, of course, had the camera in my hand because I was already taking pictures and got a couple videos! After he rolled over 5 times I went to wake up Dan. And that was it...he wouldn't roll over again. Little stinker! Oh well, I'm sure he'll be doing it a lot soon enough and Dan will be able to see it! Here are a couple videos! (And don't mind the outfit...we weren't going anywhere anyway!)

Katie and Dan went to MN too!

Yes, Dan and I did go with Cohen to Minnesota! Here are some pictures of our time there.

This is us at Psycho Suzi's. We went here on on our wedding day, after the ceremony and before the reception and have been dying to go back. They have Cheese Curds and Deep-fried Snickers on the menu. And if that wasn't enough, they have drinks in suveniour glasses (a somewhat of an obsession for Dan!)

My brother, Brian and I letting Cohen and Caysen play together a bit.

Playing cards with everyone

I just love the randomness of this picture!

Cohen's First Tooth!

Dan came to my office today...:"uh...KinderCare just called...it's not an emergency...uh...Cohen has a tooth..." Haha! We were completely shocked. I couldn't believe that we didn't notice. I had just played with him that morning and he was laughing  and giggling, but i didn't see a tooth.  I was so anxious to pick him up and see it. It was one of his bottom teeth that just poked through. At daycare on his daily sheet the check off what kind of mood he is in every day. He usually gets "content" or "cheerful" but today he got "sensitive"! Poor little guy. Right after we picked him up from daycare we ran to the store and got a few things....

Ever tried to take a picture of a itty bitty tooth? It's tough! This one makes me laugh. You can kind of see the tooth on the bottom..it's just a little white speck!

He was still in good spirits, even though mom tried to take so many pictures!

This is from this morning...someone got up a bit too early and was ready to go back to bed!

Morning playtime!

Such a big boy! :)

Still trying to catch up with everything...hopefully I'll get somewhat caught up soon!

Katie

Mr. Squealy

So Cohen has started "squealing!" We went to the mall today and kept doing this. When got home we took a couple videos! Too funny. We LOVE our happy little boy!

Another one...Dan got excited because Cohen did the "John Wall" dance in the video. For those of you that don't know it is the little thing he does with his hand by his shoulder. Haha.  I like the surprised look on his face after he burps! Anyway....for anyone who wants to see this little guy, we welcome visitors anytime! :)

I just asked Dan if he checked out the new blog layout that I frustratingly worked on last night. He doesn't usually read the blog because as he says he lives it and doesn't need to read about it. Anwyay, he just said, "Did you blog about what I bought at the mall today?" My response..."uhhhh" (blank stare). That would just be too much excitement for one post! Love him. He has been making me laugh so hard tonight! Cohen was laying there earlier and had his thumb between his fingers. So Dan "grabs my nose" gives it to Cohen and then says that Cohen has my nose. You know? Like what people did to you when you were a kid. It was a little funny, but the funniest part was that his fingers reeked of Five Guys cajun fries. I was so utterly grossed out by the smell, and shocked that he had just shoved his fingers in my face. Maybe you had to be here, but my stomach hurt because I was laughing so hard! :)

The Future Mrs. Jonas?

Just kidding about the title of this one. I don't want any trouble from sweet little Kallen's Daddy! :) When we were in Minnesota we had a chance to get together with our good friends Josh and Angie and their sweet little girl, Kallen. Dan went to high school with Josh so that is how we know them. I absolutely love spending time with them and truly miss them. Dan and Josh usually spend their time obsessing about the Lakers, and Angie and I always have so much fun together. Their little Kallen was born just a couple weeks before Cohen. I never thought that Cohen was big until we held Kallen. She was super tiny compared to him as you can see from the pictures. I am so excited to see them together when they get a little bit older.

Angie and I with each other's babies!

Dads and babies

I seriously can't believe how huge he looks!

Kallen is so excited! :)

Cohen looks so nervous...silly boy. I just think this picture is so sweet.

We're so excited to see you all again! Love ya!

Katie
