Pumpkins!

We finally had a chance to carve our pumpkins last night!

Cohen was more interested in watching Cars instead of scooping the yucky stuff out of the pumpkins.
However, after Mom quickly carved out some eyes and a nose Cohen liked shoving the tools in the holes...

See the two tools in the eyes! Weirdo!

He was also obsessed with playing with the little school bus and police car that came in his Halloween present from Grandma and Grandpa Lien.

Cohen and Dad hard at work. Dad carving..Cohen cleaning off his pumpkin. The only part he really liked! :)

Oh yeah..he also loved cleaning the table...if only our kid was really this clean!

While Cohen was in the bath Dad finished carving his pumpkin. At first, Cohen was only concerned about the light inside. Didn't even say anything about the actual pumpkin carving.  Cohen  eventually got over the fact that there was a light inside and was pretty excited about the design on the pumpkin!

Cohen's pumpkin, Dad's pumpkin and Mom's pumpkin...no pumpkin for baby! Sorry little buddy!

22 Months!

Boy, did this one sneak up on me! Cohen is 22 months old today! It is so hard to believe that we almost have a 2 year old on our hands. My friend, Kellie, now has a two year old on her hands! :) HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY TO THE BEAUTIFUL MISS MIA!! I would love to get Cohen and Mia together for a playdate. The last time they saw each other was about a year ago and they didn't really play together, but I know that they would love playing together now. Hopefully within the next year we can see them. :)

Anyway, Cohen is quite the ham these days. I am amazed at the things he picks up. It is quite scary sometimes.

He is so good at saying, "thank you" whenever you give him something and even tacks on the persons name on the end. "Thank you, mommy" and "Thank you, daddy."

And tonight, he gave Dan something and Dan said, "thank you" and Cohen said, "welcome." We never taught him that, and we're guessing that he just picked it up because we must say it all the time.

As you may have seen in an earlier post, he now says the following phrases:

"I did it"
"I got it"
"Carry you" when he wants to be carried

Last week he was watching Little Einsteins and they were counting something. They said, "6" and Cohen said, "7." Dan and I were just shocked! Smarty pants!

He loves seeing pumpkins, airplanes, boats, mail trucks, puppies and babies.

He loves animals!

His favorite movies at the moment are Lion King, The Incredibles, and Up (or Kevin as he likes to call it)
This is a picture of Kevin from the movie, Up. :)
He likes to watch Gaspard and Lisa, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins and Thomas and Friends

He knows his little brothers name, and it is adorable when he says it! :)

We think Cohen is singing the clean up song when he picks up his toys at home. He must have learned it at daycare, because we  haven't taught him that or anything. He sings, "Clean up everybody"

Speaking of singing, he will randomly sing,  "la la la" really loud.

His favorite foods right now are grapes and hot dog!

Today on the way home from work, I turned to him and said, "I missed you today" and he looked at me and said, "cuddle?" :)

The other day he was messing up my hair. It was all in my face and I asked him if mommy looked pretty. He didn't really say anything, but then 15 minutes later took my face in his hands looked at me and said, "pretty." Even though I don't really think he knew what it meant it, it just made my heart melt!

He likes to give kisses on the cheek :)

And some pictures...

Playing  with his train at the store...

Loves "cleaning" the door in the bathtub

Sick little cuddle bug

Loves his pumpkin from Great Grandma Jonas

At Old Country Buffet...someone looks pretty full (even though he didn't really eat much)

Kiddo still can't put on sunglasses the correct way sometimes...

 There ya go!

 Loves playing with his animals!

He was pretty proud of this...one horse giving the other hug?

 Carrying around his pumpkins....so "heavy!"
I asked him to show me his teeth, hoping I could get a smile and I got this. Close enough!

And some random videos...

I forgot that I don't think I ever shared this...Cohen will randomly gallop. He mostly does it down the hallway at our place. We have no idea where he learned it or why he does it, but it makes us laugh...here is the only video I have of it while we are walking back from the park.

And here's a video that drives us crazy...Cohen will say "no" and put his finger up like this all the time. He usally says it a little meaner than in this video and this is the first time that he has said, "I said no." Feisty little guy! We're still working on the fact that it is not ok to do this!

That's all for now! I'm sure I missed lots, but I am too exhausted now!

Fall Festivals

Yesterday we went to a couple Fall Festivals to pick out pumpkins. We wanted to go to the one we went to last year, but it is an hour and half from our new place. However, the ones that we went to were not as good, so we both decided that next year we would just make the long drive! Anyway, Cohen was tired and a bit cranky. He didn't really want to do anything but here are a few pictures....

His pants were just riding up..they really aren't capris :)

Cohen was so disappointed that there were no animals there. The only one was a fake cow.. :(

On the hay ride to all the activities.

Cohen and Dad walking up to a slide

..and coming out of the slide.

Driving the tractor...

Out of all the things they had to do there the only thing Cohen picked to do was the corn maze. It was the only thing that Dan and I didn't suggest that we do..haha.

On the bridge in the corn maze..

They made us bring a flag with us in case we got lost. Ha

On the hay ride back to the entrance...look at unhappy little Cohen. It definitely was nap time!

On the way home we stopped by another place to pick out pumpkins and check out what was going on.

This is the pumpkin Cohen picked out. He kept saying, "heavy!" He loves his pumpkin!

On the way out of this place Cohen found something that he really liked...

...perhaps the most exciting part of his day....

Llamas! Haha..He really wanted to go over and check them out, but we couldn't because they were in someone's yard/farm.

We'll, the day didn't really go as anticipated, but we had a little fun anyway. We're planning on carving the pumpkins tonight. We'll let you know how that goes!
