Laken- 9 Months

Laken's 9 Month update. So late but here you go anyway!

Height: 29 inches (75th Percentile)
Weight: 19lbs 11oz (50th Percentile)
Head: 45cm

9 month clothes and some 12 month
Size 3 diapers

He still only has 2 bottom teeth

Laken loves to pull himself up and stand while holding onto things

He likes pulling down everything he can reach on shelves

Super fast crawler and into everything.

Still loves to explore

Loves laughing at his brothers

Loves all food! There isn't any pureed baby food that he has tried and doesn't like.
He is still having trouble eating finger foods and gags on them. His doctor said that he is just probably swallowing the food too quickly so he just has to practice.

Besides Laken we call him Lake, Lake Dogg, Lakey, and Cohen calls him Lake Bug!

Laken's 1st Christmas!

Snoozin' at the Kalahari Resort

Christmas at the Kalahari with cousins.

We all shared a two bedroom hotel room so when Laken got up early we went and crawled around the lobby to not wake everyone else up!

He had to wear a life jacket, which he didn't seem to mind, but was hard for me to hold him with it on!

Trying to take the helmet Uncle Jeff's head

Wresting with Daddy

Sick cuddles with mama!

Laken's first snow!

Attacking Cohen...haha!

Like a puppy begging for food!

He loves bath time and watching the big boys take baths!

LOVES his daddy!

Hanging out at Kempton's Soccer class

Daddy and Laken at Cohen and Kempton's party with their friends

Laken always wants to be doing what the big boys are doing. :)

Sweet cuddles with mommy!

Dan was in Boston for a weekend and Laken acted totally different. He was very fussy and needed. He was so happy when daddy came back!

Cohen- 6 Years

Cohen's 6 year update! I love this kiddo so much and he is such an awesome kid to be around. Some of my favorite moments are when it is just him and I. You can have real conversations with him now (well kind of!) and he's hilarious!

Height: 48.5in (92nd percentile)
Weight: 49lbs (67th percentile)
BMI: 14.7 (29th percentile)
B/P: 90/48
He usually wears size 6

Cohen has grown up so much in the past year, mostly since he started Kindergarten!

I asked him his favorites and this is what he said:

Color: Red
Food: Donut
Movie: Avengers
Sports Team: Lakers, Nationals, Vikings
Treat: Cookies
TV Show:Peppa Pig
Friend: Chance and William
Teacher: Mrs. Poe
Thing to do: Play video games and Legos
Superhero: Spiderman
Animal: Lion

Other Questions:
Where would like you like to go on an airplane: Florida, where it's hot. And Minnesota
Why do you like Kempton: Because he plays with me
Why do you like Laken: He's a sweet baby

He loves homemade cards!

Cohen is obsessed with sports now! He loves going up to our loft and playing football with Kempton. He also loves baseball and basketball. If we had a backyard and a driveway with a basketball hoop, I'm sure he'd be playing all of the time!

He knows all of the football teams and can name them all by looking at their logos.

Cohen really wanted to play in a football league this year, but I didn't realize that they had it for his age so perhaps next year.

He is currently in a basketball skills camp and seems to enjoy it. He participates in everything and always leaves super sweaty!

He likes playing his football video game. He played Madden 2011 version for the longest time until Dan bought him the 2017 version for his birthday! He bought a basketball game with a birthday gift card so he is learning to play that as well. I don't love that he wants to play so often, but sometimes it is nice for him to calm down a bit! Plus he learns more rules of the games and strategy  of the game. He also likes to play Disney Infinity.

Cohen is thriving in Kindergarten! Not only is he learning so much academically, he has also really matured. We drop him of at his before school program and he walks right in without a single tear (finally!) At his before program he has a chance to play with legos, which he is really good at now. In his after school program, he has a chance to play basketball, which he is getting much better at too. He really enjoys his before and after care. Back to Kindergarten. He doesn't share much about his day, but his teacher said that he is doing really well. He has learned a lot of new words and is getting better at reading. They had some sort of assessments last week and he told me that he had to count as high as he could. He said that the lady made him stop at 120...and then he proceeded show ME how high he could count! Haha.

He loves his brothers so much. He is so incredibly sweet to Laken and can always make him laugh. He loves Kempton and they play together/fight all of the time!

Cohen learned how to swim this year and he was all over the pool! He can even swim to the bottom to get the toys that sink.

He loved playing baseball on a team and is so excited for the season to start again!

He loves Spiderman, Avengers, Star Wars, Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers and anything to do with sports.

He likes playing cards as well such as Go Fish and War.

Cohen has a big heart and genuinely loves people. He loves visitors and spending time with others.

He eats food! He is willing to try new things and is fine with eating at any restaurant, unlike Kempton right now. It just refreshing that we can go anywhere to eat with him. Some of his favorite restaurants include the Annapolis Smokehouse, Grumps, McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A and Ledo's Pizza. Some of his favorite foods include chicken nuggets, pancakes, mac and cheese, waffles, bacon, asparagus, green beans, pepperoni pizza, among many other things!

Cohen likes to follow the rules and worries/stresses about getting in trouble or doing something wrong! He has become a bit sassy lately and has an attitude, but overall he is a really good kid!

Here are a lot of pictures from the past year! I have a ton, but this is what i have for now. Enjoy!

When I was on Maternity Leave, there were some days where I would just have Cohen and Laken or Kempton and Laken. When it was just me and one of the older boys, I would let them pick something special to do. One time Cohen wanted to make Ninja Turtle Ooze!

1st baseball game!

This kid was a hoot at his Kindergarten Readiness graduation

Geniunely laughing and smiling with Mom

Crazy kid!

We found cheap ( I think they were $1.50 each) hot dogs at the Orioles stadium and Cohen had a few!

First day of Kindergarten

Golfing!

Cohen...haha!

Cohen and a rocket ship project for school

Cohen learned how to ride a bike this past summer. He finally figured it out and rode without training wheels towards the end of the summer.
Running the bases after the Nationals game

Cohen was so excited when Laken was born! :)

We went to the park one day and Cohen wanted me to take pictures of him.

 Playing with Laken
Showing me his loose tooth. He has lost a total of three teeth so far!

Lost his tooth while eating an apple...and he swallowed it

Laying down after he lost his tooth...he tends to get a bit woozy when he sees blood.

Kempton bought him a dinosaur dig kit for his birthday so he was extracting some bones!

 Cohen and his friend, Taylor

When we went to the Kalahari over Christmas break, we played in the arcade for a bit. Cohen really wanted to play this game where you just spin the wheel and win tickets. We kept telling him that it was a waste of money and to play something that is more fun and not just one spin. Well, Cohen finally talked us into letting him play it, and he ended up getting the jackpot and winning just over 1000 tickets! Haha..he was a happy little guy!
 Astronaut costumes

 Outside playing footballl!

 Jumping into some leaves!

 Spiderman!

Rock climbing...getting brave!

A Few videos:

Crazy!

Silly videos on snapchat. These ones crack all of us up!

Jumping off the diving board!

Riding his bike without training wheels! I worked so hard with him on this and was so proud of him!

Another snapchat video!

Enjoying 3 of his Christmas present at the same time! Ha

I could go on and on about this amazing boy, but the truth is that this mom is exhausted and would like to get this posted as I've been working on it for weeks! Anyway, I love this my buddy so much and I'm so proud of him!
