Disney Day 2: Magic Kingdom (Fireworks!)

We stood on Main Street for the fireworks. Right in front of the castle. It was crowded. Hot. Sweaty. Getting to the bathroom was a challenge. Dan waited in the line at Casey's for a hot dog for a half an hour while I tried to save our spots. Cohen didn't notice. He was happy. Played and laughed with the kids around him. He was Cohen. Sweet, silly, fun-loving, happy Cohen. Love. This. Kid!

This is when I told him that we were going to watch fireworks. Ok, not really, but it's funny.

Waiting for the fireworks..happy..happy..happy.

He was a very smiley, giggly baby...until....

The fireworks started. He didn't cry or crack a smile. He just stared.

And stared...notice the fireworks behind them. There were fireworks all around us.

The little peanut got a little tired after the fireworks. Cuddling with Dad.

I usually can never figure out how to take pictures of fireworks, but managed to get a couple good ones.

I took a video of the fireworks finale, but it won't upload for some reason. I was able to upload it on on YouTube so you can click on this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJVbRgCM8QE if you want to view the video!

July 23, 2011

It was gorgeous out today. Sunny and hot. I'm not sure how hot it got, but I know it was suppose to be around 100 degrees. The pool was perfect. There aren't any shaded areas in the big pool, but  about half of the kiddie pool was shaded so that was nice. We were out for a little longer than usual. The temperature of the big pool was just perfect. I could have stayed out there all day! Here is a video of Cohen in the kiddie pool splashing with his turtle.

And a video of Cohen playing with me. The silliest things make him laugh!

Well, that's all for now. He crawled a little today! Dan and I were very excited. I'm sure he'll be on the go in no time.

7 Months

I know that I say this every month, but wow! Seems like month 6 just flew by! Cohen is growing and changing so much every day. I can't believe that he is already 7 months old! He is so much fun, and we love spending time with him. He always makes us laugh and smile. He is just an absolute blessing. I am so thankful for him every single day!

Here's a little bit about what he's been up to....
He wears size 3 diapers
He wears 3-6 month (shorts) and 6 month and 6-9 month. He can wear one 12 month outfit and he can wear 6-12 month shirts. We have a lot of 6-9 month shorts that are still huge on him! Skinny little guy
The kid is ALMOST on the go! He isn't crawling yet, but he's really close!

He can pull himself up to a standing position, but is still wobbly

He can go from his belly to sitting without a problem

He is all over his crib! We used to put him in there with a blanket and he would just lay there, fuss a bit and then fall asleep. Now, he sits up, plays with his feet, stands up, looks around and then eventually falls asleep.

He eats very well...the only food he doesn't like so far is peas. He spit them out at me. We'll try again, just because two containers come in a pack!

He has 5 teeth...3 on top and 2 on the bottom

He loves going to the pool.
He doesn't have a lot of toys, but enjoys playing with nearly all of them. He doesn't really have a favorite.

He still enjoys his jumper, but it doesn't seem to entertain him for as long as it did before

He still loves being outside and going for walks

He loves playing with Mom and Dad!

He smiles and laughs a lot. He is FUNNY!

Kicking his feet in the water

 Loves playing with his ball!

 Got it!

Gettin' ready to crawl

Spending some play time in his diaper!

 Don't worry...we lowered the crib!

 Eating some pears!

Check out his two top teeth! The third one on top is barely poking through in this picture.

 7 Months old!

 Cheese!

This was taken tonight...we were cheering him on...

 Then he kept doing this...

 And this! Haha!

Love. This. Boy!

And a video...

Thank you, Cohen, for just being you. Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

Katie

Disney Day 2: Magic Kindgom

We knew that tackling Magic Kingdom on the 4th of July would be tough. We are glad that we did it, but said that we would probably never do it again! :) Every ride had very long wait times (2 hours for Space Mountain), you couldn't sit inside in a quick service restaurant unless you had food, and there were people everywhere! I am not at all complaining, but I'm just saying.

Cohen enjoyed the Monorail ride...I think!

Checking out the view

I love the feeling of walking into the Magic Kingdom! (Even when I worked there and I'm sure Dan will say the same thing about when he worked there..it was a great feeling!)

Us with Dan's parents.

Cohen loved one of Mom and Dad's favorites...the DoleWhip Pineapple Float.

Not a fan of Cinderella (plus he just woke up from a nap)

He did like Belle though!

And he liked Princess Aurora

Couldn't take his eyes off the pretty lady!

He is just so sweet and innocent.

Off to Winnie the Pooh's house to steal some Hunny! :)

Standing in Pooh's house! This is at like 10 pm and the kid can still crack a smile.

Woo! What a day! There was definitely a lot more that we wanted to do there, but didn't get a chance to do. Don't worry we did spontaneously go back another day.
And don't worry. Fireworks are up next! :)

Katie

Disney Day 2: Happy 4th of July!

One thing we were really excited about was being at Disney for the 4th of July. It is one of my favorite holidays, and we were really excited to celebrate America at the Happiest Place on Earth! Since we knew we were going to stay at the Magic Kingdom late for the fireworks we decided to sleep in and head to the pool in the morning! I am so happy that Cohen loves swimming!

The pool tuckered the little guy out.

Do you like my shirt?

Can you see it?

Can you see it NOW?!

Before heading to Magic Kingdom we got some lunch at CiCi's Pizza. A definite favorite of ours. We think that the Cici's in Florida are better than anywhere else! :)

Well, up next is Magic Kingdom and the fireworks, but not tonight. :)
