Hanging out at Derrick and Caysen's House!

While we were back in Minnesota we had a chance to go to my nephews Derrick and Caysen's house. We had never been to their new house, and we don't really get a chance to just hang out with them, my brother and my sister-in-law. They live in Granite Falls, which is a long 3 hour drive. Although, it goes by pretty quickly when you are sleeping! (Thanks, Dan, for driving) We had a lot of fun, and I wouldn't have minded staying a few extra nights! We miss them all a lot!

They were playing the "Hole in the wall" game so they had to shape themselves so it was the same as the shape on the screen to get points. It was pretty funny to watch.

In my effort to pack lightly, I didn't bring a comfy sweatshirt to MN. Good thing my parents had an old MSU one I got when I signed up for a bank account. I was able to rock that out for a few days.

Busy Busy

It's been a little while, huh? Life has been just a little busy here. We got back from our trip to MN, had one weekend and then we left on Thursday for a trip to Michigan to visit some friends. We had a great time, but I am happy to be home and have nothing planned...yet!

I will go back and catch up with all the things that have happened, but until then I'll leave you with some recent pictures!

 Don't touch his chair! I laid my head on his chair and he climbed on me and tried to sit in it like I wasn't even there. Then I couldn't move because he was on top of me. Then, of course, he sits in it for 2 seconds before getting up to play with something else! :)

Quick Cohen Update!

Just a quick update on Cohen.

We went to Cohen's one year check up last Friday (1/6/12). Here are his stats:

Height: 31 5/8 inch (95th percentile) (20 3/4 inches at birth)

Weight: 22lbs 2 oz (50th percentile) (8lbs 3oz at birth)

Head 45 inches (25th percentile)

Also, he got some more teeth so he is now up to 12!

Christmas Day

We woke up Christmas morning at Grandma and Grandpa Lien's house. My brother, Brian and his family were also there with us. Unfortunately, my brother Jeff and his family left Christmas Eve to spend the holidays in Disney World and my brother, Doug and his family were headed to Disney World on Christmas day. However, Doug and his family were able to stop by have lunch with us and open some gifts before they had to catch their flight. I was so glad that we were able to spend time with them before they left!

  Cohen and his cousin, Caysen, played a little bit before checking out the gifts that Santa brought them.

Haha..I think these two are going to be trouble, but I love watching them play together.

Believe it or not, Cohen didn't want to sit still for a picture with Grandma and Grandpa...

..and was less than thrilled about the kisses. :)

What?! Two vacuums?! Caysen got one for Christmas so they each had one to play with!

The picture kind of looks like he is opening a present but he's not....

...he is playing with his toy soup can and broken spoon. And he played with it the entire time we were opening presents!

Although he didn't open any presents or care that he got them at first, he did play with them later. He loved his new little toy puppy.

I think he may have pushed his puppy over or kicked it. He didn't kick a single ball while we were there yet, but then walked over to his puppy at one point and kicked it. Ha
