Kempton: 17 Months

A little closer to on time this month! Here is an update on Kempton!

Kemp is wearing 18-24 month shirts and 12-18 month shorts/pants

He is still wearing size 4 Pampers diapers

He still likes the same foods as last month, and hasn't really tried anything new, besides a popsicle

He likes to walk outside and look for puppies!

He is a bit over dramatic when he doesn't get what he wants.

Kempton has loves the toddler room at daycare and is learning lots of new things. He especially likes hanging out with his friend, Alice

He likes to say: puppy, milk, more, no, stop it, dada, mama, coco (cohen), ball, cheese, please, thank  you, hi, bye, mine....

He loves Cheese slices! He will grab the container out of the fridge and will always bring it to Cohen to open up!

Cohen helps, but gets annoyed about having to do it so often. :)

Kempton with his first popsicle :)

Pushing the shopping cart at Trader Joes. It's fun for the first 5 minutes and then it is a hazard!

Kempton still likes to play baseball

 ...and take breaks!

He rode on the Metro train to DC and was a little bit scared.

He loves baseballs, footballs, golf balls and now volleyballs!

Kempton was obsessed with playing with volleyballs when we went to Uncle Tom's volleyball tournament in DC. Every time he would pick one up, he would try to throw it on the court.

And would be pretty sad or mad if you tried to take it away.

Kempton always lays down and looks at books before falling asleep and quite often I will find him still cuddling with his book. :)

My parents sent Kempton a pack of balloons. He was so EXCITED, which was fun at first and then he became obsessed with these dang balloons! Ha!

He had to hold a balloon while he ate. He HAD to bring the balloon in the car with him. Then he would throw the balloon in the car, and freak out because he could no longer reach it. Do you know how many times I had to turn around to give a balloon back to him?! Too many! Needless to say, I am not a huge fan of balloons like Kemp is. :)

Kempton is also of huge fan of helping me make my smoothies in the morning. :)

Smoothie and a balloon...could life get any better?! :)

Well maybe if he had a book and a balloon and was also blending a smoothie!

More pictures from his first Popsicle...

And a few more pictures from adventures over the last few weeks:
Eating lunch by the water

Playing at the park

Learning new things

Love his giggle in this video...

When Kemp wants the orange ball that Cohen is holding he says, "mine" "please" ( we have been working hard on the please) and when that doesn't work, well no more Mr. nice guy! Haha

That's all for now!

Katie

Kempton: 16 Months

Oh where does the time go....here is an update on Kemp!

Kemp is wearing 18-24 month shirts and 12-18 month shorts/pants

He is still wearing size 4 Pampers diapers

He likes to eat bananas, pancakes, chicken nuggets, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries (he basically loves all fruit!), green beans, chocolate, applesauce

Kemp likes to do things by himself but if he needs your help, you better help him right away or he will cry and thrown himself on the floor!

He currently does not like his car seat or riding in the car

Kemp likes to take toys from his big brother then usually plays with it for 10 seconds and puts it down.

Kempton has moved to the toddler room at daycare and now sleeps on a cot. He was ready to move from there to the infant room and gets unhappy if he has to be back with the "babies"

His new phase is:  "stop it" and says "no"  more frequently these days!

I am sure there is so much else to share about him, but I will just share some pictures instead...

A tantrum at its finest

At his baptism just before he turned 16 months. Better late than never..

Eating cake with Aunty Mandy :)

Kemp loved hanging out with all his cousins our trip back to MN. Here his is with Kenzie

Kempton (and the rest of us) love the zoo!

Although, he can be a bit of a handful he is such a sweetie. Unfortunately he was sick in this picture, but still a sweatheart!

He likes baseball games!

And bathtime!

He always goes to bed looking at books and we will often find him with one still in his hand.

Yes, I turned the light on to take a picture!

He loves playing with a ball...baseball, football, golf, etc and loves to be outside!

He loves to help mom in the kitchen and especially loves to help me make smoothies in the morning.

Checking out the prairie dogs at the zoo!

Kemp loves playing at the park!

Finding Easter eggs on Easter morning

Kempton just got his first haircut this past month too!

Kempton and I at his baptism. He did a pretty good job!

Family pic at Kemp's baptism

While in MN we stayed at a hotel for one night. Kempton enjoyed the pool, but didn't love it. I think he'll enjoy it more when we consistently go this summer.

Posing for the camera

Kempton and all his cousins!

Kempton usually doesn't prefer to be held by anyone other than mom, dad and his teachers at daycare, and even some of his teachers he doesn't prefer. He didn't seem to mind being held by his cousin, Tyson though! Him and Cohen loved playing with all of their cousins!

Playing hockey at Keaton, Alexa and Makenzie's house.

While back in MN we took the boys on some rides at the Mall of America. Kempton was not a huge fan, but he was kind of sick, so maybe that had something to do with it

Love this little bugger so much!!

Belly flash! Haha!

And a couple videos...

Well, I guess Kempton has caught on very well, aye? Cohen is really a good big brother and always so gently with Kempton, even if Kemp is beating him up!

Love this video of Kemp and his Uncle Doug!

Love love love this little guy so much!!
