Last night we got back from our trip to Michigan for our friends, Kristen and Jon's wedding reception. Our trip was really short, but we had a really good time at the reception. Cohen was sent home from daycare on Wednesday with a fever, so when we left Thursday we weren't sure how he would be. He didn't sleep at all on the flight, so it was a good thing it was only about an hour and a half. Cohen slept for about 30 minutes on our way back to Kristen and Jon's place. Then we had to drive to where the reception was which was about 2 hours away and he didn't sleep on that car ride! We finally got to the hotel and he fell asleep at about 9:30. Staying up late is definitely not a trait that he gets from me! :)
There was plenty of things in the hotel room to entertain him. The least entertaining things were the toys that we brought with (of course)!
He was obsessed with the Cohen-sized refrigerator and microwave. Take something out of the fridge put it in the microwave. Take it out of the microwave and put it in the fridge and on and on and on it went!
Watching Elmo on mommy's Kindle
Anyway, Friday morning he was very cranky and whiny. It is so unlike him so we really know what he wanted. We headed to the mall so he could get out of our hotel room and burn off some energy!
Playing at the mall...
Haha! Oops!
And finally time for the reception...
Cupcakes! They were so good! I only had one, caramel apple, but it was so good. Dan had a smores one, and probably ate a few others that I'm not aware of! :)
Groom's cake. I'm not a Red Sox fan but it's really cool!
Waiting for dinner. They had nutter butter designed as flip flops for favors. Cohen loved them! (And enjoys holding forks and other utensils.)
Eating applesauce
Cohen loved the green beans. He kept doing this and slurping them up. At one point I looked at him and he had two of them in his mouth coming out like tusks. :)
Someone is getting restless..of course he got a little cranky during a really nice speech from Jon's brother. I had to take him and run to the back of the room!

The Jonas' with the bride and groom!
Family picture...kind of!
Oh boy....
Running around!
And finally time for the dance! Cohen loved dancing and was very popular out there! He really wanted to dance with the little girl that is running out of this picture. He kept going over to her, but she was acting shy.
He hardly ever lets anyone besides Dan and I hold him, but did well dancing with this nice young lady!
Dancing with the little girl!
His dancing buddy was taking a break, but he went to get her back on that dance floor!
Cohen and his FAVORITE dancing buddy :)
Dancing with Jon. Cohen took his hand and dragged him out to the dance floor! So sweet!

Ah huh! Another cupcake! Found you! ;)
The bride and groom and their friends!
10:45pm the little guy finally tuckered out! What a trooper!
Look at his dancing skills.. (Sorry it is so dark!)...
No wonder this kid was a hit, huh? We stayed at the wedding until the very end! Look at us!
And then it was time to go back to Maryland...
At the airport
Looking out the window about to leave. Thankfully we had the whole back of the airplane to ourselves. They said that there were 137 seats on the plane and only 50 were filled. Thank you! This was Cohen's 12th flight and the first one where the plane was not full! Which is great because sometimes this happens.....
Oh my goodness...how does this kid still have any energy!?
Eventually this happened! :)
We had such a great time in Michigan! Congratulations to Jon and Kristen Michaud!!
Love,
Katie
