A couple weekends ago went to the Fall Festival at Homestead Gardens. It was super crowded, but we were able to do everything we wanted to do. It was a beautiful day...actually it was really warm!
Cohen loved the straw maze. He was nervous at first, but then ended up running through it all by himself.
Kempton enjoyed it too!
They also liked the jumping pillow
We took a hay ride to the pumpkin patch
Cohen had watched "Spookley the Square Pumpkin" the day before so he was on the hunt for a square pumpkin!
It didn't take him long to find one but I encouraged him to actually walk around in the pumpkin patch to see if there was one he liked better
Kempton like trying to pick up the pumpkins and carry them
You pay 5 dollars for a name tag to put on the pumpkin that you find. Then you write your name on it, slap it on your pumpkin and put it on this cart. Then they bring the pumpkins up to the front to pick up on your way out!
Kempton was so proud of his pumpkin! :)
Cohen tried holding the pumpkin on his lap and ended up falling over with the pumpkin on his belly, then I tried helping him and I fell over lost my balance and the pumpkin went rolling along. It was quite the scene...and Dan capture some of it... :)
There we go!!
:)
Then just last weekend it was pumpkin carvin' time....
Kempton really got into it this year (yay...less work for mom and dad!)
Cohen did a great job scooping out all the seeds and stuff!
At one point I caught Kempon scooping the stuff and putting it back into the pumpkin!
Intensely workin'
All done! Cohen's Ninja Turtle, My Mickey (for Kempy), Dad's Old Hag from Snow Whte and Kempy's face pumpkin drawn by Cohen!
The boys love the pumpkins and lighting them up at night. That's the first thing Kemp wants to do when we get home from work. And when he gets up in the morning he will look at them and yell "uh oh" because they are not lit up!
Happy Halloween!!
Halloween costume post coming soon! (I hope!)
Love,
Katie
