When you spend money on Halloween costumes you want to get the most out of them! Well, I definitely think we did this year. Plus, they are going to go right into our box of dress-up stuff to be worn whenever. What's the point of putting it away?!
A couple weekends ago we went to Zoo Boo at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. It was another gorgeous day! Cohen insisted that all of us wear our Avengers costumes, but then at the last minute decided he wanted to be a Ninja Turtle. So he ended up being Iron Man with a turtle shell. Kemp was just happy carrying and filling his pumpkin bucket.

Of course they boys were mostly excited to see the animals.

The zoo had special enrichment activities for the animals. Since whenever we are there the leopard is usually laying down we wanted to watch his enrichment so we headed there to wait.
They took this paperish thing that a volunteer made and stuffed it with something so the leopard would check it out. What do you think they stuffed it with? A treat? No...elephant poop! While the leopard would not eat it the keep said that he would be interested in it and sure enough, he was!
Cohen LOVED it!
Cohen went from Iron Man with a turtle shell, to just his shell to full fledged Iron Man. He had to put on his Iron Man so he could get Maleficent. :) There was this 10 year old girl walking around dressed as Maleficent and Cohen was certain that she was following him and trying to get him! Haha
The kids also had a party at daycare on Halloween. We left work a bit early so we could go to it. I loved walking into Kempton's classroom to see him sitting there with all of his friends. See the little Hulk on the left side... :) He didn't even get up when we walked in. He was too busy eating a cupcake.
Each of the classes had a parade to show off their costumes.
I headed back to Cohen's classroom to wait for Kemp's parade. I found Cohen back there with his turtle shirt, shell, turtle hands and Leo mask.
Then we went back up to Kempy's classroom to watch Cohen's parade :)
By that time he turned into Iron Man
Cohen and his friend, Tristan, were both Iron Man
...and their brothers were Hulk. This is the best picture I could get of the 4 of them...Aaron, Tristan, Cohen and Kemp.

After the daycare party, it was off to the mall for some trick or treating.
We did very little trick or treating as it got pretty busy and the kids were a little tired and cranky
We got some dinner and then just walked around a bit. The kids like playing on this interactive screen thing....
...and Kempton loved watching the train.
However, before all of that, on September 1, we went to the Halloween party at Magic Kingdom in Disney World. Do you know how hard it is to find costumes in August by the way?! We had to order everything online as nothing was in stores yet, but we received everything and we all had a great time!
Here we are all dressed up as the Avengers
Meeting Tarzan, Jane and Terk from the Tarzan movie, which Cohen loves! He was a bit scared of Tarzan though.
And here is a picture of Jeff, Mandy, Hannah and Tyson dressed up for the Halloween party!
Waiting for the parade to start! It was hot in our costumes!!
I didn't get any good pictures of the parade but the boys enjoyed it.
Cohen met the old hag from Snow White... he has an thing for villains!
As the night progressed we got rid of the costumes and accessories!
Kempy trick or treating! :)
And I believe that concludes our Halloween fun!! Until next year...
Love, Katie
