Happy Birthday, Cohen!

Happy Birthday, Cohen!!

Cohen Maddox turned 2 today. :) We had such a great day with him.  Our day started off with playing with balloons that were scatter in the hallway when he woke up...

Followed by opening his first couple presents...

We only let him open up toys that he could bring with so that we could leave to go to the National Aquarium in Baltimore :)

He opened up little action figures from the movies Beauty and the Beast and Tangled.

 He loved them! :)

Then we were off to the aquarium!
 Cohen and Mommy!

Showing us how old he is..little sweetie tries so hard!

An octopus...here's what he thought about him...

If you didn't catch that he said that the octopus was "not nice" Haha.. Cohen was scared of him!

Dad and Cohen checking out a tank with turtles and sting rays

Cohen kept asking us if he could touch the animals.

Cohen thought the Sharks were pretty cool!

They don't do a dolphin show anymore, but they do have scheduled time where they do dolphin training. Cohen loved watching the dolphins jump and splash!

Cohen did awesome at the aquarium! When we were leaving we were talking about how much we like the area where the aquarium is. Dan said that they should put a Margaritaville in down there and Cohen started yelling, "Margaritas!" He kept repeating it, and I was able to get him saying it once before he moved on to talking about something else!

Cohen fell asleep before we even made it out of the parking ramp!

Then we opened up more presents when we got home! We actually opened presents all night because Cohen is slow at it and because he wanted to play with every toy after he opened it. It was fine with us though! We weren't in a hurry!

Since it was just the 3 of us, Cohen just got a little cake. He picked out a Cars cake. He was so excited about it, but didn't eat any of it. All he wanted ws the car on top! Kid missed out..it was delicious!

 Cohen and Mommy!
 Cohen and daddy!

Cohen was so excited when we sang, "Happy Birthday" to him!

Blowing out the candles! Cohen did it all by himself!

Cohen kept asking us to sing "happy birthday" to him! It was too cute! We couldn't say no. Well, we eventually did and moved on to doing something else. But I just love how excited he got! Here's a video and sorry about you haven't to listen to me sing! ;)

Cohen got lots of cool toys and other things. We were able to talk via Skype with a lot of people so they could see him open the presents they gave him and wish him a Happy Birthday.  He will have lots of fun playing with all of his new stuff tomorrow and then with all the new stuff he gets for Christmas! Yikes! :) But I will leave you with the final picture of the night. Cohen got two new school buses and had to line them all up biggest to smallest. Kid loves his school buses. Haha!
Thank you everyone for wishing Cohen a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and thinking about him on his special day. Also, thank you for his gifts! He loves them all!

More to come on what's up with our 2 year old, but I am one worn out mommy! Good night!

Katie

Christmas Festivities

Despite what you see on the blog we have been getting into the Christmas spirit over here!

Cohen loves looking at this Disney Christmas frame! And have I told you that he is obsessed with this teddy bear, Bella?!

Cohen loved putting the green beads on the tree!

He was serious about his job and it entertained him for quite awhile!

Trying to untangle the beads!

Cohen even wore a santa hat for about 3 seconds! It was so cute!

Dan and I with our Santa hats!

Cohen loved looking at all the ornaments and putting them on the tree.

Putting on ornaments with Daddy.

Seriously, these beads were entertaining him all night!

We dressed Cohen up to go see Santa. When we got there and saw about 30 families in line we figured we would wait until a different day, but I loved his little Christmas sweater vest!

More pictures of Cohen's decorating job... love it :)

Knowing how our meeting with the Easter bunny went we decided to take Cohen to see Santa where you could just snap your own picture.

Despite talking it up the entire time we were in line when we were walking up to meet Santa Cohen was not excited! We prepped him on what to ask Santa for...toys, animals, cars, trucks and movies.

He was terrified!

Even a candy cane from Santa didn't help!

Cohen eventually warmed up a little bit...and Cohen asked Cohen for some toys.
He even threw in his own idea of a puzzle. :)

And we had to take a family picture because Cohen wouldn't sit with Santa! We were leaving and Cohen said, "Santa not nice!" Haha, not sure where he got that from. He does like Santa just not the real Santa in person. He just prefers to look at pictures! :)

And then we went to Pei Wei where my big guy enjoyed his chicken and rice..with his Cheetah...
