A Visit with Mia and Kellie

While we were back in Minnesota, Cohen got a chance to play with his friend Mia. Well, they didn't really play together much, but it was still cute. I think that Mia thought Cohen was a little crazy,  so she just sat with her Mommy and watched Cohen until he took a nap.  I don't blame her. He can be a little crazy! I had funny visiting with Mia's Mommy, my friend, Kellie. Kellie and I have been friends since we were 10. My dad used to say that we could have fun in a cardboard box. Haha..and it was true. We were very creative and always had so much fun together. And now, even though we live across the country from each other, whenever we get together or chat on the phone it's like nothing has changed.

Aww..so cute!

This picture makes me laugh because Mia looks a little stressed out with the baby....

...but I have no doubt that Mia will be a GREAT big sister! :)

Thank you to Kellie and Mia for stopping by to visit! We hope to see you again soon!

Fun with the Little Guy

This evening Cohen and I were home by ourselves because Dan had to go to a work function. I love spending time with my little buddy. Tonight, he excitedly ran over to a little table to grab something. Not knowing what in the world was over there, I thought it might be funny so I grabbed my camera. Turns out that he was super excited about Dad's case for his sunglasses. He's played with it before, but tonight he thought that case was extra funny!

This kid cracks me up!

And the fun went on....

 ...and on...
...and on...well you get the point! :)

I love this kid! So so so very very very much! :) :)

Bath Time and Kisses!

I did it! I finally stopped using the infant bath tub for Cohen's baths. :) I was so nervous that he would be afraid to sit in the huge tub.

He, of course, loved it! And, surprisingly, I did well too. I was not completely grossed out! :)

He loved playing with his bath toys.

He loved having tons of space to splash

He was walking around in the tub, stomping his feet, blowing bubbles (with his mouth!) and, of course, splashing mom!

While all that was going on this was going on....

Mmm...Parmesan chicken with some yummy sauce and asparagus! It was a team effort. I cut up and seasoned the chicken and made the sauce. Then Dan cooked the chicken and made the asparagus. Delicious!

I love how Cohen learns things so quickly these days. Tonight I was getting his pajamas on after a bath. He was standing up and I was putting his shirt on and then..... He leaned in for a kiss! Planted one right on my lips! I was shocked! I kiss him ALL. THE. TIME on the cheeks but he has never tried to kiss me. Then I thought maybe it was a fluke. So then I asked for a kiss and he put his lips right up to mine...4 times!  I just couldn't get enough of it. I called Dan into the room on kiss number 3 to witness it. It was so sweet. Although.... I'm wondering where he suddenly learned this and who has he been kissin'? :)

Anyway, it can be a little scary how quickly he can pick something up! He was sitting on his chair and Dad tipped him backwards....(see below)
 Which led to this....

And then led to this... a little on the crazy but funny side....

I'm hoping that he forgets how to do that one. It can be a little scary!

And one last picture for you...
Not quite a 6-pack yet there little buddy...

13 Months

I'm not sure where the last month went! I didn't even realize he was almost 13 months until yesterday when someone asked me how old he was! :) Here's what the little man has been up to.

He loves brushing his teeth, but often doesn't like Mom or Dad to help.

He still loves swimming lessons! He did great at his last class and even asked his teacher for more high fives!

He loved playing with the puppy at Build a Bear workshop! He carried this one around for awhile.

He can take his shirt off...well...sort of! We put him down for a nap yesterday. He ended up not going to sleep, and I went to get him and found him like this!

I really don't know how he did it, but we were quite impressed.

He still likes to "talk" on Mommy's cell phone.
..and thinks its funny to drop it.

He can do the sign language sign for "I love you." Ok, so he doesn't really know the sign...just a perfect picture. I was trying to take a funny picture of the tv (and definitely succeeded!) and accidentally caught my little buddy telling me  that he loved me...aww!

Cohen is obsessed with balls. He loves throwing them and trying to catch them. He says the word "ball" any time he sees one or a balloon!

He loves his Mommy! :)

He's still rockin' the "duck face."

He loves playing with Mom (and Dad, too!)

He loves the new chair that he got for his birthday!
And he is so kind to share it....

 ...with his bottle!

His favorite food is bananas! He also likes carrots, peas, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, yogurt, applesauce, pears, clementines,  and I'm sure a lot of other things that I can't think of right now!

I think he has just the 12 teeth I mentioned before. It's hard to see in there though!

Such a big boy!

He loves playing with all the new toys he got for his birthday and Christmas. He does a really good job of playing by himself, but prefers Mom and Dad be in the room with him. If we leave the room he has to follow to make sure we aren't doing that he might miss out on!

I put all his little toys in that yellow bucket. He likes to dump them out and then put them back shoot them into it!

He loves when we give him a paper towel so he can clean. He loves to clean his highchair when he is done eating. And will "clean" the carpet, too! Now if we could just get him to clean up an actual mess!

He often claps when he has accomplished something.

He still loves his blankets. He has 3. 2 blue ones and a green one.  This picture was taken when we got home from grocery shopping today. He saw his blanket on the back of the couch, grabbed it and started cuddling. So sweet!

He likes playing with his puppy, but likes it better when mom holds it. Maybe he kind of likes it, but he's a little scared of it just like he feels about real dogs.

Dumping his toys out.

He likes peas...
...to drink! Just kidding! He always does this with unopened pop cans, but this is the first time that he's done it with vegetables.

He will finally somewhat smile for the camera. I held the camera up and said "cheese!" This is what I got...:)

Ok so what else?

He likes to randomally scream. Preferably in public.

He can say: ball, nigh nigh (Night Night), uh oh, mom, Daddy, baby, banana, more, no (he's good at that one!)

He can sign: more and please

He enjoys walking down the hallway to the elevators in the morning when we are leaving for work and daycare.

He likes throwing things in the trash. Thankfully, we don't think he has thrown away anything that isn't suppose to go in there.

He likes dancing and listening to songs.

He has switched to whole milk, and just using up the rest of his formula

He still uses a bottle. His pediatrician said that was fine until 15 months, but I think we'll work on getting rid of them sooner.

"He's cool and funny" - Daddy's input to this! :)

He really is! He is getting so smart and is so much fun to play with. We love him so much!

That's all I can think of so here are some videos from this weekend!

My apologies for my annoying noises, but I was mocking him and he thought it was pretty funny. I LOVE his giggle!

Here is Cohen playing. I think he is trying to jump! haha! And Dan isn't yelling at Cohen at the end. He's yelling at the football game!

And a video of Cohen and his new "hat"
