We went to see Santa last weekend. The boys were extremely excited and even ran up to Santa to greet him. Kemp had to bring his stocking to show Santa and Cohen even talked to Santa this year. Cohen told Santa that he would like a rocket ship and also told him that he would be in Minnesota this year instead of Maryland. When I tried to dress them in something nice, they told me they had to wear red because that was what Santa likes, hence the Nationals shirts. The boys are loving all things Christmas...Santa, lights, Christmas trees, cookies, Rudolph, etc. I've been working with the boys, especially Cohen, on giving rather than receiving. We had a major breakthrough on this last week when he asked to by some toy cars for his friends. He asked to buy one car for 3 of his friends and we went to the store to buy them, he didn't even ask for one for himself! Hopefully this keeps up!
Cheeks, our elf, made his visit after Thanksgiving. Basically, Cheeks keeps an eye on the boys during the day and every night goes to the North Pole to tell Santa how the boys are doing. Each morning the elf comes back and the boys have to find him. They boys were so excited to see him! However, Cohen was disappointed when he woke up the next morning to find Cheeks in the same spot as the night before. Whoops! Our first night with Cheeks and we failed! Well, the deal with the elf is that you are not supposed to touch him or he may lose his magic to fly to the North Pole. I was able to convince Cohen that because they touched him the day before he probably didn't have enough magic to make it to the North Pole. Plus, Kempton threw him off our loft so he probably had lost a lot of magic from that! The boys haven't touched Cheeks since.
That's all for now!
Love,
Katie
