19 Months

19 Months! :)

Last month we went to his 18 month appointment and he was 33 inches (75th percentile) and 24lbs, 4oz (50th percentile).

He wears 18-24 month shirts and 18 month shorts/pants
Cohen still loves to eat fruits and veggies! He likes yogurt, oatmeal and applesauce and loves feeding himself. He still doesn't really like to eat meat, and often won't try new things. He will just flat out refuse. :(

Kiddo is still a talking machine! This month he started saying, "bye, bye (insert something here!)" Seriously, "bye, bye chair" "bye, bye car"...other things he says bye bye to include...table, daddy, mommy, truck, train and lots more. Anytime he leaves the room, it is "bye, bye..." or "be right back....." I love when he says, "be right back, daddy!" It is just the sweetest thing. He also just learned, "come back, Daddy!" (He still hardly ever says, "Mommy." I am also usually known as "daddy")

He also picked up saying, "Bless you" when someone sneezes!
New characters he can identify and say their names: Minnie, Dumbo, Perry (the platypus from Phineas and Ferb)
While still aren't pushing potty training yet, but he randomly said "potty" one day so I put him on the potty and he went! Like it was no big deal. He also went after the bath one day, but generally says no if I ask him if he needs to go.
He loves looking at the things around him and particularly likes birds, puppies, bikes, trucks, firetrucks, cars and trains.

He loves climbing on anything and everything, including stairs.

He is full of energy and can often be a handful. He listens pretty well, but will sometimes just pretend he doesn't hear us and wonder off or he'll say, "be right back" and just stroll away! I always go get him and keep him eye on him, but I wonder if he really would come walking back..?

I can't think of what else is new! Sorry!!

Most of my pictures from this month are going to put on their own posts so I don't have many for this one!

Daddy and Cohen on the train at the mall

Cohen was so excited to see Mommy on his way around. Daddy looks pretty excited too! :)

On our walk through the city today...Cohen had to stop at every set of stairs to climb up and then climb down!

Playing with trains at the bookstore.

Cohen is quite the photographer...he loves taking pictures and is getting better at it. Haha!

Cohen's picture

And one more from Cohen

Cohen loves playing with his cars, trucks and train and I guess his shoe was driving the truck this time!

And just a couple videos..

Cohen talking on the phone...

And Cohen after we watched Dumbo.

Cocoa Beach, Florida

Over the 4th of July holiday we went took a vacation to Florida. When Dan wanted to book this trip I cringed. I was very nauseous from the pregnancy and in no mood for a vacation. However, I started my 2nd trimester right before we left and did not feel nauseous at all (for the most part)! And I didn't feel as tired as before and even survived ALL day at Disneyworld. :) Anyway,  we stayed at my aunt and uncle's condo on Cocoa Beach and drove to Disneyworld for a couple days to visit the parks. We had so much fun. It was exhausting, but a blast. It was hot, but not as hot as I had anticipated. Cohen did really well at the beach and at Disney! Here are some pictures from our plane ride on the 3rd and our 4th of July.

On the airplane. Little known fact, or perhaps everyone knows this...our original flight was scheduled to leave at 8 something. However it was delayed until midnight! So I changed our flight to 7:20, which was delayed until 8:15. Perfect. Cohen's bedtime. We got to the airport in plenty of time. We kept checking the airport monitors to make sure our flight was still delayed. We were sitting there eating our dinner, when Dan heard an announcement about a flight to Orlando boarding. It was 7:00. So Dan went over and checked the monitor...our flight still said it was leaving at 8:15. We continued to eat. Then I heard the announcement. That was definitely our flight! So we had to walk briskly (we did not sprint! we were not those people! haha!) to our gate to board our plane. We, of course, asked the guy who scanned our tickets what was going on. They said that there is usually a delay on when the airport monitors get updated, and that is why they make announcements through out the airport. Really?! Ugh! Anyway, I'm glad that we made our flight. The only thing was that Cohen did not fall asleep at all. The entire way there, "airplane" "airplane" "airplane"...he may have drove the people around us crazy! Well, at least his mom and dad! :)

On the tram at the airport. Cohen is still wide awake!

And waiting for our luggage...and he was running around while we were waiting for our rental car and didn't fall asleep until we were on our way to the beach!

We ate breakfast on 4th of July morning at Cafe Surfinista, which Dan became a little obsessed with. :)
Cohen at the coffee shop. He, of course, just wanted to run around, with his shoes off apparently.

We finally made it to the beach!

Cohen loved the ocean! He enjoyed walking up to it and then as the water came up he would run away from it. He also walked into the water and let the waves hit him.  He was having a lot of fun, but for some reason  the next day he wouldn't play in the water at all!

Cohen and Mommy

The idea of this picture is cute, too bad I'm picking at my swimsuit!

Cohen and Daddy

 :)

Love these two!

After some time at the beach we went to the pool at the condo. The water was really warm and Cohen loved swimming in the pool. And trying on sunglasses I guess.

The beach and pool wiped this kiddo out!

That night we went to the Sandbar for fish tacos. Well, I got a chicken sandwich, but Dan LOVES their fish tacos!

Cohen just wanted to explore...

....And sit at his own table!

Here are a couple videos from the beach!

More to come..!
