Yesterday we made our attempt to visit the Easter bunny. We talked up the Easter bunny a lot, because if you recall what happened last year it wasn't pretty....
We walked by the bunny a few weeks ago in preparation for the big day. We told Cohen that the Easter Bunny would bring chocolate and jelly beans. I thought that would make Cohen LOVE the bunny since he LOVES chocolate. He seemed pretty excited yesterday morning. We got to the mall, he was still excited. We scoped out the bunny while we were waiting in line. We pointed out how the other kids were sitting nice and smiling and the bunny was NOT scary! As for Kemp, we figured he didn't need much talking to. After all this was Cohen's first picture when he was Kemp's age...
Piece of cake. It is often that find a 3 month old way easier than a 2 year old...but anyway. After about 45 minutes of waiting in line. It was our turn..."We'll buy you a toy if you sit nice..." Do you think he got a toy???
Not this year! Although it looks like he sat there, he only did for a couple seconds! I think he is actually frightened by the fact that the Easter bunny is coming to his house! :( And look at Kempton! I'd say he was a fan of the bunny...until next year I am sure!
When I went in for the ultrasound to find out if Kempton was a boy or girl, I was hoping for a girl. When they told me that I was having another boy, I was somewhat sad, especially for my nieces as there have been a lot of boys in a row in our family. However, I quickly got over it and I LOVE having two boys. These pictures were taken last night and this morning. These two are going to be such great friends and I am so excited to watch them grow up together!
Cohen asked to hold Kempton!
And gave him a couple kisses :)
Cohen was leaning over Kemp making him laugh. Kemp kept "hitting" him with his hand, which made Cohen laugh :)
Don't mind the huge gash on Cohen's nose. He ran into the fireplace at my parent's house. Actually he was sitting next to it and turned around into it. Clumsy little guy!
I am absolutely loving staying at home with my boys. I love hanging out with Cohen and I am so glad that I am getting to spend more time with him right now. He is such a smart and funny boy. He is full of energy and always on the go. He is adjusting well to being a big brother. Cohen is very sweet towards Kemp but still gets a little jealous when I have to help Kempton. It is usually just when he is tired though. Here are some recent pictures of our crazy Cohen!
We were pretending to be tigers and I was trying to get a picture of his "tiger face" or him laughing hysterically. I was pretty much unsuccessful, but here are the pictures I took anyway!
Yoga break?
Of course, pretending to be tigers turned into wrestling with mom!
Then after mom needed a break from wrestling Cohen started jumping around!
Playing with a remote control car...concentrating so hard
He had lots of fun with it!
Such a sweetie holding his little giraffe.
He loves to reenact movies with all his Disney characters. Can you see Rapunzel up in the tower? :)
Cohen was so proud that he was able to get Buzz Lightyear to stand up. I admit it...it's not easy!
Dan, his friend, Joe, and Cohen watching a youtube video. I am pretty sure that Cohen was just making fun of them! Either way, I love how it just captures the moment perfectly :)
Cohen is still very scared of the vacuum. Seriously, I have to hold him while Dan vacuums! He is just a little bit scared of the small dust buster. Here is he making sure that I don't suck up his feet! ;) I'm not sure if he is more scared of the vacuum or bugs...the other day he came running out of his room talking about a bug that was in there. I went in there and he just kept pointing in a general area. I finally found the tiniest bug that wasn't even alive! He kept saying, "Bug get me!" Haha. Now every time he sees a piece of fuzz or crumb on the floor he says, "what's that?" and wont get near it because he thinks it is a bug!
Watching a video with Dan's friend, Dave!
My workout buddy! He was really excited the first day that we exercised together and then the next day was so over it! Guess I will work out while he is sleeping!
I told Cohen to make a funny face and we would take a picture and send it to Daddy at work. Here are the faces he made....
Haha...Dan sent a picture back to us and Cohen was laughing so hard!
Awww...
Cohen loves coloring and drawing pictures! Here is a picture he drew of Simba and Scar from Lion King, but I guess I didn't have to tell you because you can clearly tell what he drew! ;)
Cuddling with mom after a day at daycare while mom feeds Kemp. Someone missed me! :)
Cohen brought this toy to bed with him to cuddle with. Haha!
Cohen loves his bubble gun! I love it too...way less messy than regular bubbles. In the mornings the sun shines on the deck and we enjoy spending time out there!
Cohen strapped Woody into his car seat and brought over Slinky and Buzz Lightyear and said they were going to Disneyworld.
Playing with a new train set. I found it for super cheap on clearance. I had it in the closet and was planning to use it as some sort of reward at some point. However, he saw it in there. I tried to tell him it was any empty box but he wouldn't believe me it. He bugged me about seeing it ALL day! I finally gave in and opened it up. He was so excited to play with it.
Here are some videos!
Here is a video of Cohen trying to get Kemp to exercise and then lifting some weights and trying to get me to exercise! I love when he says, "Kemp, do the exercise" or something like that! haha
Watching Beauty and the Beast and yelling, "now" the same time they do in the movie. I love how he just smirks because he know that part is coming up.
Here he is playing with Dave!
Dave gave him the idea of blowing into the microphone which Cohen loved. We all thought it was pretty funny too.
I will definitely soak up my last few weeks with him before I go back to work.
