Baseball Games

Over the last couple we weeks we went to our first baseball games of the year. The MN Twins came to Baltimore for opening weekend. Dan and Cohen went to the game Saturday night. Kemp and I stayed home since it was a little chilly and he already had a runny nose, but we all went to the game on Sunday. :)

Cohen was in need of  a bath and since they would get home late I figured I would give him a bath before they left. Look at this stud...

On Sunday the whole gang went to the game. The day was perfect! Sunny and warm, but not stifling hot! And the Twins won!

Kempton and I before the game

Cohen dancing on the sidewalk...he's got a little bit of energy!

Family picture before someone offered to talk one for us!
Love them all so much!!

Cohen playing on the playground. He may have stayed there all day if we let him.It just got too crowded though.

Kemp was enjoying the game! Haha!

So we don't have to buy Cohen a ticket until he is 3. It saves us money, but squeezing the four of us in two seats isn't easy! Especially, when there is a fairly large man sitting next to us. Thankfully we picked an aisle seat so we had a little extra room. Anyway, Cohen sat down on the floor for part of the game! It was his choice!

Then we went out of the seating area because it was easier to feed Kemp and Cohen had a chance to release some energy!

The kid was pretty crazy! Since the pictures can't completely capture it, here are some videos!

Cohen was obsessed with finding "the bird" all game! We finally got to see him during the 7th inning stretch. Then later he was over in our section. Dan and Cohen went to go see him and Cohen wouldn't give him a high five because he was scary. Sheesh!

All that dancing and Cohen couldn't make it to the car...he was pooped!

Then on Tuesday we went to the Nationals game. Dan wanted to go because Gio Gonzales was pitching. Tickets were $6 (lower level) so I agreed. (It's exhausting to go to games during the week!) Anyway, we had a lot of fun!
Dan, Cohen and the newest president of the group, William Taft

Gio warming up!

And how funny are these mask things...Dan as Bryce Harper

..and Jayson Werth. Kind of creepy looking, huh?

The presidents race! The woman is someone from some TV show?? I don't really know!

They ran right past us..hey they were going fast! ha

Abe got pushed down and didn't even make it to us before the race ended so he just walked out the back way. Cohen was watching him and asking about him. I told Cohen that he lost the race. Cohen was so concerned for the next 20-25 minutes. He kept looking for him and saying, "he lost" in a very sad voice!

Meanwhile...this little peanut did awesome! He is so content and chill. LOVE HIM!

But of course fusses sometimes, but still so adorable even when he's fussing a little!

Cohen and his foul ball! So the ball was coming at us and was very scary! I covered Kemp and closed my eyes! It landed a couple rows in front of us and the guy who got it gave it to Cohen! Cohen was so excited!!

Cuddling with his baseball on the way home.

So the next morning I remembered Dan has this MLB Extra Innings thing and you can watch a replay of any game anytime. So we watched the game from the day before. I wactched th foul ball that came at us and thought it was hilarious. I paused it and took a picture...

Told you I was scared! Cohen is sitting on the seat next to Dan by the way!

And here's a video of the foul ball...

The next morning he was still loving his baseball!

Haha!

Walking out of the park after the game.

Kemp and I before the game...

...and after the game. Wide awake still!

At the game we bought popcorn in a souvenir helmet for $8! Yikes, but I am happy that Cohen is getting use out of giant helmet!

I told Cohen that we need to get him a baseball glove. He then ran to his room and got Kemp's little baby mittens. Haha.
So now he runs around with his baseball, helmet and little mitten throwing his ball shouting that he got a home run!

We have several games to go to yet this summer! The twins are coming to DC and the Dodgers (which I am apparently a huge fan of now thanks to Dan! haha) are coming to DC and Baltimore. Cohen has been asking to go to another game so he'll be excited! Anyone is welcome to join us! ;)

Love,
Katie
