Day 2 in Florida was spent at Animal Kingdom! Our first stop was the safari.
Dan, Kemp, Hannah and Cohen on the safari
:)
Hannah, (Mandy), Cohen and Me waiting for our safari truck to get moving!
Rhino
Cohen and me. He really did enjoy it...promise!
Just soaking it all up!
HA...silly elephant!
Well, I guess I didn't take many pictured during the safari!
Brotherly love
This lasted for about 5 seconds! But it's oh so sweet!
Meeting Chip and Dale
We went on vacation with my brother, Jeff, his wife, Mandy, my niece, Hannah and nephew, Tyson. While we spent a lot of time with them, we also split up so we could do some different things. Hannah was hanging out with us at this time so she jumped in a picture with us. Love her!
Kempton loved meeting the characters. He was always trying to touch them!
First Mickey's Premium of the trip...if you don't already know Dan is obsessed with these!
Can't believe I let this crazy nut carry my child... Just kidding! I completely trust her...
...see!
Kempton and I waiting for the Lion King show to start. One of our favorites!
Cohen and Hannah watching the Lion King show. I look at them and it reminds me of Hannah and I together when she was that age. So fun to see her with my kids :)
Cohen is obsessed with Lion King. I think he was just in shock while he was there! Trying to get a picture of him and Simba but it took him forever to finally look at the camera.
It was a very hot day and we left the park around 2. We were planning to go back but decided to spend swim at the house we rented and then spend the evening at Downtown Disney!
I can't believe that's all the pictures that I have from that day! We also saw other animals like Tigers, characters like Dug and Russell from the movie UP, and went on Expedition Everest. Knowing that you will be going to the park again another day makes it a little easier to leave early.
Cohen trying to push Uncle Jeff in the "hot" tub. (I put hot in quotes because it wasn't actually hot for a few days!)
And a video that was taken by Hannah....Cohen is doing animals sounds that Tyson taught him!
Cohen is 2 1/2 years old today! This morning he ate eggs and bacon for breakfast and then Cohen and I headed to see a movie at the theater.
When did he get so grown up?
Of course, between breakfast and when we walked out the door to go to
the movie, he threw a fit and wouldn't change out of his pajama
shirt...reminding me that he still is a 2 year old and to not worry...I
will still be his only date for awhile....I think anyway....
Kiddo's got a thing for princesses ;)
Cohen is a ball of energy who keeps us on our toes. He is loving, caring, sweet, and funny, but can also be stubborn little stinker. We love this boy so much and wouldn't trade him even when he is throwing a tantrum ;)
He knows all his colors, says his alphabet, knows tons of songs and picks up every little thing you say!
He sometimes gets 7 and 11 messed up when he is counting and will say, "...5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 8, 9 10 11, 8, 9, 10..." Haha!
Cohen loves animals, playing outside, playing with cars and trucks, swimming and RUNNING!
Cohen loves playing sports: hitting a ball with a tennis racket or a baseball bat and playing catch with a ball
Cohen likes to ready books, especially while on the potty.
Speaking of potty. We are still working on it. He's a smart and very stubborn kid who is afraid of underwear... ;)
Our skinny little guy can still wear some 18 month shorts! He usually wears 24 month shorts right now and 2T are usally too big! He wears 2T or 3T shirts.
Some of his favorite foods are: oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, french toast, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, green beans, corn, any kind of fruit and cookies!
One of his teachers told me at daycare that he was saying, "no" a lot one day. I talked to him about it, and told him to be nice to his teachers, he just kept saying, "I'm nice, mommy!" And he is. He has a really sweet personality who does not want to get in trouble, and he can be very sensitive. (sounds like his momma)
One day our conversation went like this...
Me: "I like you, Cohen!"
Cohen: "I like you, mommy."
Then a little bit later...
Cohen: "do you like me mommy?
Me: "yes, I like you."
Cohen: "do you like dishwasher?"
HA! There are so many random conversations that we have. I need to start writing them all down!
Cohen can spot a UPS truck from really far away...and he calls it a "brown mail truck" and gets super excited every time he sees one! He also likes airplanes, boats and garbage trucks
He loves Disney and I have so much to share from our trip!! :)
He loves pushing little carts at Trader Joe's and one time we went all the carts were being used and Cohen said that he was sad. :(
He likes carrying umbrellas
And playing with his wrestling ring
And eating ice cream...
He likes to turn himself into the Beast (from Beauty and the Beast)...
and then into a human..
..and then back into the beast!
He loves talking to people in the computer via Skype
(Testing Grandma and Grandpa on their colors)
He likes to go for walks but take a break on a solar light...
He loves to run, jump, climb all the time!
He can be a bit clumsy....
He truly loves his brother. He has never been mean to him or anything like that. Cohen usually thinks Kempton is pretty funny and tries to help him whenever he can.
Haha...poor Kemp!
Cohen loves giving Kempy hugs and kisses. Every morning when we go to daycare we will all go to Kempton's room first and drop him off and Cohen will always give him a kiss goodbye. (Then we go to Cohen's room where Cohen usually needs to be ripped away from us and then we leave as he is crying :( Same daycare since he was 10 weeks old and he still misses us when we leave...
Cohen loves swimming!
Such a great big brother!
I felt so bad! Cohen wanted to feed Kempton, but Kempton just was giving him a hard time!
Kempton..what a little stinker!
Cohen loves pigs and piggy banks! (More to come on that from our trip to Disney)
ALWAYS RUNNING!
To help our potty training efforts Cohen gets a sticker every time he uses the potty to put on a sticker chart. Once he fills up his chart he gets a toy or something of his choice. He filled it up and wanted a bow (the same one Merida has in the movie "Brave") He had been wanting it since he got to shoot one in Disneyworld.
He was a bit excited!
Although Cohen, is a huge momma's boy, he loves his daddy and loves to be just like him!
(And then after this he grabbed my bra and was running around trying to wear it!) Ha..yikes!
He is adventurous and dirty...such a boy!
He likes to try new things like flying a kite...still a work in progress!
He still likes to sing on his microphone...
Cohen loves taking pictures with his camera (our old camera)
And sometimes he becomes his secret identity...Batman!
(Yes, that is spit hanging down form his mouth! Such.a.boy!) These two and a half years have flown by! We are so thankful that this little guy is a part of our lives! He is very, very loved by a lot of people! Love, Katie
