Cohen has a nickname at daycare. They call him Coco! Whenever we drop him off at daycare his friends are so excited to see him. They yell out, "Coco!" It is the sweetest thing, It is even sweeter when we hear him say his own name. Listen carefully...
The weather yesterday was absolutely beautiful. Cohen had his 15 Month check up yesterday afternoon so we left work early to go to his appointment, headed to a park and then out for dinner.
Cohen's first time swingin'
He wasn't a huge fan..."all done!"
Daddy and Cohen trying to figure out what to do next.
On the snail..
He thought the rock wall was cool, but couldn't quite figure it out.
So up the stairs he goes!
Down the slide!
He loved it!
Down the other slide! Sometimes he thought it would be fun to just walk/fall down the slide! Ahhh! He also went down backwards (by choice!) Crazy, fearless little guy!
Lovin' it!
C'mon Dad...
Down the big slide with mommy!
At Mi Rancho..Cohen loved dipping the chips in the salsa. He would then lick the salsa off the chip and dip it back in! Eventually he would eat the chip. At least it kept him entertained for awhile!
Good thing the salsa wasn't spicy!
Our morning started out with story time. Cohen kept wanting to listen to the book his cousins, Hannah and Tyson, recorded for him. The problem was that he kept getting scared when Tyson would "roar" at him. Check it out...
After that we headed to Georgetown Cupcakes! Everyday they reveal a secret cupcake favor. The first 100 people who go to the store and ask for that cupcake get it for free. Today the favor was Banana Split..a favor that you otherwise can only get in August! Mmm...we were so excited. We rushed to get ready and get there to get our cupcake. The reason we were so pumped wasn't necessary because it was free, but the fact that we really wanted to try that flavor.
2 Banana Split cupcakes and a Salted Caramel
Daddy and Cohen sharing a cupcake
Waiting so patiently (his jeans aren't really that short, but the way his legs look make me laugh!)
Almost ready Dad?
Hmmm...
Mmm... Cohen approved! Mom and Dad liked the cupcakes too!
Playing at the toy store.
How cute is this!?
Love this picture...so intently playing the piano. And see the red and yellow things on the piano? They are little wooden cars that he grabbed and put there.
I bet you're wishing you could hear Cohen's music...we'll you're in luck!
Then we headed to the mall...Cohen got to decorate a cookie at Nordstrom's with special edible markers.
Didn't he do a good job?
Then we stopped by Build-a Bear workshop so Cohen could run around and it would be acceptable! :) He was obsessed with pushing around this stroller.
Then Dan was looking for some shoes so we spent some time in the shoe store. Cohen was lovin' it! He likes to play with our shoes at home, so this store was perfect for him (not for me though!)
He kept picking out shoes and moving them to a different shelf. So I was running around trying to put them back where they go..while my husband is slowly trying to pick out some shoes. I'm just kidding. He tried to hurry...I think! ;)
He was serious about this shoe thing.
Hmmm..which one next?
Got it! This boy keeps us on our toes!
Playing at the new table we bought him today! He loved sitting at it and coloring.
He likes carrying around paper towels..wiping things off and cleaning his face.
Cohen's new toy bin. We got this and that table with the two little stools
(that are also storage bins) for $20! What a steal. I think so anyway. We were considering buying it when we thought it was $40, but then the woman told us it was half off. Yay!
Little buddy with his wet paper towel.
Climbed up on the recliner all by himself!
Our night ended with talking to Jeff, Mandy, Hannah and Tyson using FaceTime on our iPhones. It's like Skype but with our phones. I can't think of a more perfect way to end our day!
