Kempton- 3 years

Its a bit overdue but here is Kempton's 3 year update:

Stats:
Height: 38inches (59th percentile)
Weight: 30.5lbs (35th percentile)
BMI: 14.9 (15th percentile)

I asked him what were his favorites and these are his responses:
Color: Blue
Movie: Star Wars
Show: Peppa Pig
Food: Sausage
Drink: Chocolate Milk
Treat: Chocolate
Team: Dodgers
Character at Disney World:Mickey
Ride at Disney World: Rollercoaster
Place to visit: I don't know
Thing to do:Play with my brother
Animal:  Giraffe

He often says, "I have a great idea..." Followed by a really "great" idea! Haha

Kemp can be very stubborn and not listen, but then be very sweet and cuddly

He loves to play baseball and run everywhere

We don't really buy juice, but if he is ever offered it, he never wants it. All he drinks is milk, water and the occasional milk shake.

He has  been very picky with food lately. He loves fruit, but refuses all vegetables! He does love peanut butter!

Kempton wears a pull-up at night, but almost always wakes up and is dry. We will not be buying him any more pull-ups after the current box runs out. Yay!

He plays the typical little brother role really well. He tries his best to keep up with Cohen and often tries to take Cohen's toys or whatever Cohen has. If Cohen is playing by himself, sometimes Kemp will just sit right next to him to bug him.

He likes to watch Lion Guard, Peppa Pig, Avengers, and Spiderman

He sometimes thinks cartoonish shows are "not cool" and prefers bigger kid things like Avengers, Spiderman and Star Wars.

Kemp likes to play with cars, sports stuff and wrestle with his brother.

Bedtime has been terrible lately. He just refuses to lay down and is just a bit of a stinker.

He will refer to bedtime and other things as "boring"

He loves to sing and dance!

He is learning his letter sounds. He will say the letter, make the sound and then say a word that starts with the letter.

He likes to play basketball on the small hoop we bought him for his birthday.

He used to refer to himself as Kempy, but now always says his name is "Kempton" (which of course no one ever understands!)

He is a very passionate and energetic little boy!

Kempton on his 3rd birthday. He picked out a Star Wars cake.

Kempton is a crazy nut! This is him playing with bubble wrap at Grampy's workshop

Opening a few presents the morning of his birthday.

3 years old!
Kemp at his birthday party in MN

Loving his new big boy jammies. He always dances with his fingers like that. Haha

He likes to be independent and put on his hat, shoes and put on and zip his jacket by himself.

This is Kempton's best buddy at school...Adalyn. And according to Kemp, she is NOT his girlfriend.

Kempton loves to brush mommy's hair and on this day he wanted to blow dry it too!

Kempton cracking up with Cohen

Ha!

Kempton absolutely love his little brother.  He loves kissing my belly and cuddling with me/baby.

Kempton enjoyed the snow we got this winter...

...but I think his favorite part was the hot cocoa after!

He has the sweetest pouty lip! He usually gets mad rather than sad though.

He received some money for his birthday and picked out this toy. Cohen has one and Kempton really wanted one as well! It is suppose to say his name, but for some reason Kempton is not in their choices of names. :) At least we could put in the letters and the toy can still spell his name which he thinks is pretty cool.
He always likes to do what Cohen does. When Cohen has homework or  a project to do for school, I always have to come up with something for Kempton to do as well.

He loves raspberries!

He made a new friend at the Nationals Winter Fest. HA!
He likes to pitch the ball to Cohen when they play baseball, which makes for a long day!

All of the classrooms at his school decorated their doors for Christmas. One of the classes had milk and cookies set up (see above) and Kempton was pretty sure they were for him.

Kempton and his little friend, Kollins

Kempton loved all things Christmas this year! He loved his Santa jammies from GG and Grandpa. He loved decorating cookies and leaving them and other snacks for Santa and his reindeer.

So Handsome!!

When he met Santa he HAD to bring his stocking to show Santa, because Santa was on his stocking.

He loved his very own Christmas tree that we bought him.

He loves painting, coloring and any other crafty stuff

Kempton went bowling for the first time just before he turned 3!

And sledding for the first time. Both of which he loved.

Kemp still likes to help mommy cook. Especially when him and mommy are up before everyone else.

When we pick up the boys from school, they are usually together in a classroom and then we have to go to their individual classrooms to pick up their stuff. Everytime we go to Cohen's classroom, Kempton always has to pick up this magnifying glass and look around.

Kempton and Arlo!

 3 and 5 year check-ups

This is still one of my favorite pictures of Kempton. It always makes me smile! Oh sweet Kempton, I can't believe how quickly he is growing up. He is learning so much and we love watching every minute of it! He says some of the funniest things and always make us laugh. I just know that he will be a great big brother and I'm excited to see him in that role. Lots of love little buddy!

Love,
Katie
