STS-135: The Final Mission

STS-135 was the 33rd flight of Atlantis, the 37th shuttle mission to the space station and the 135th and final mission of NASA’s Space Shuttle Program. And we were there to see it! Check out our pictures.

Ok...so we weren't quite that close.  They predicted that A LOT of people would be in the area for the shuttle launch. They were right...

This picture was not taken by me. My Aunt received it from someone, and then she sent it to me.

We walked out of the condo 15 minute's before the launch and watched it from the beach. Much less people and traffic to deal with!

 Patiently Waiting....

Others waiting on the beach.

Some guy said that there was a 3 minute delay...and then all of a sudden there it was. Get your glasses on...it's kind of small in the pictures! The last few pictures you cannot see the shuttle, but just the stream from it.

It would have been great to see it closer and if it wasn't cloudy, but it was still awesome to see!!! I'm glad that they didn't postpone it because of the weather!
